Liked your post on Southern Culture & Cuisine …. But … When will you come down to Texas ??? You just missed Bluebonnet season, but the wildflowers will still be in bloom for a week or so yet … You need to hit the San Antonio & Austin area, the best brisket in the world is found in the area.
Come to the Fort Worth Stock Show Rodeo in late January, The State Fair in October, Wurstfest in November or the Texas Coast in Summer … We got pine forests in the East, mountains & deserts in the West, the high plains in the North, miles of beach in the South and the rolling prairie in the middle. The Ranching Heritage museum is in Lubbock, the Amon Carter Museum of Western Art is in Fort Worth [ along with the Kimball ] and the National Cowgirl Museum is also in Cowtown [Ft. Worth] …
