- 1 day ago by megraeb Sometimes when you need to get a cow/calf pair in the corral, it’s easier to hog tie your calf, put it in the sled and have the Mama follow you in. You see, mama cow is bonded to her calf and if she smells him in the sled she will walk right behind him. It’s a lot easier, quicker and I don’t have to lift a calf who weighs more than me in a Polaris! Then when they are in the corral, I can give them medical attention in a safe way for us all! #realcattleranching #aghag #moo #ranchlife #cowdog

I got to thinking about that today as I was hanging out with the cows. I realized these #tatume squash were supposed to be picked when they were baseball sized, not soccer ball.
